Ride a bike or walk.

Turn off computers at night.

Buy a laptop instead of a desktop
A laptop draws 15 to 25 watts. A desk top draws 150 watts.

Buy compact fluorescent light bulbs
Compact fluorescent bulbs last longer and use 70% less energy.

Buy Energy Star Appliances.
While shopping for appliances, look for the Energy Star label.

Turn off light in a room, if you are gone for more than thirty seconds.

Don't leave water running, while brushing your teeth.

Recycle newspapers, magazines, and junk mail.
